Growouts and Chicks for sale
Around the beginning of May we hatched out several little bantam eggs (and one Wyandotte), between 2 broody hens and the incubator. Unfortunately coop space says we can’t keep every chick we hatch, as much as I’d like to, so we have quite a few little cuties ready to find their new flocks.
Satin-feathered Silkie Mix
These guys are the most adorable group of babies I’ve seen yet! I suspect 2 of the Black Satins and the little red partridge satin are all roosters judging by their combs and wattle colors, but none have reached the age of crowing/laying, so I could be mistaken.

The Parents
Your guess is as good as mine as to which hen (Mamba or the Silkie hen) and which rooster (Krakatoa or the Silkie Roo) created each of these little balls of fluff. They’re all in the same pen so it could be any combination.

Blue Laced Gold Wyandotte
This girl is so much prettier than I was expecting her to be! This is the little Wyandotte chick that Mystic and Mamba hatched out a few months ago. She’s gotten huge huh?

Here’s her dad. Her mom is a Silver Laced Wyandotte not pictured.

Week old chicks
We also have a few of our F1 and F2 Olive Egger chicks available. These are all roos for right now. Their mothers are either Ducky, our Cream Legbar or one of the two F1 Barred Olive Eggers. The father is a Black Copper Marans so they should carry the green egg gene to be passed on to their offspring.

For a better idea of the geneology of the chicks, check out the post we made introducing our farm’s characters.
Due to the extreme Texas heat, shipping is unavailable for these chicks. Must pick up in Quitaque.
